Oasis Tales is a musical folk documentary series that follows The Barn Swallows, a Bisbee-based band blending American folk, traditional jazz, and raw harmony-driven storytelling. Captured during the final leg of their coast-to-coast tour, the series begins in the surreal desert landscape of Jacumba Springs, California—where the band performed a powerful live show and opened up about their musical roots, personal histories, and the magic of performing in spaces that feel both forgotten and sacred.
Through candid interviews, intimate performances, and atmospheric cinematography, Oasis Tales explores themes of grief, rediscovery, community, and the timeless pull of music to heal and connect. The project is both a portrait of a band and a meditation on the role of live music in a digital world—offering a lyrical glimpse into the heart of American folk tradition as it lives and breathes today.
